NNSWF to host Free Fast Five5 Come and Try Day

November 29th, 2021

Northern NSW Football will host a free Fast Five5 Come and Try Day to help introduce children to football.

The Come and Try event will be held at the Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility on Saturday 11 December.

The day, for children aged between six and nine, will start at 9.30am and finish at 11am.

The Free Fast Five5 Come and Try Day will give children who have not played football before a chance to experience the game in a safe and enjoyable environment with no cost to parents.

The children must wear shin pads and joggers to take part.

Northern NSW Football Head of Football Development Peter Haynes said it was a great opportunity for children to try football for the first time.

“This is a really good chance for kids to have a taste of football,” Haynes said.

“Some kids might have wanted to play football but maybe haven’t had the opportunity before or didn’t know how to get started.

“By doing it this way in a safe environment where the focus is on fun and importantly at no cost to the parents, it allows kids to have a go and see if they like it in a setting where they’ve got nothing to lose.

“Hopefully we see lots of kids come out and have a go and lots of smiles on faces.”
