First Kick-On for Women Program on a Saturday held at Bar Beach

February 3rd, 2020

The first-ever Saturday program for Kick-On for Women will kick off next week on Saturday 15 February at Empire Park, behind Bar Beach Bowling Club.

More than 400 women across Northern NSW have been introduced to the game of football thanks to introductory, social program Kick-On for Women (KOFW) which kicked off in October 2019.

KOFW has launched across 23 locations and attracted women who have never kicked a ball, are wanting to get active and make friends including the new inner-city hub at Empire Park.

KOFW Project Officer Michelle Forbes is thrilled to host the first-ever Saturday program and couldn’t think a better place other than right across from the beach

“It’s outdoors, it’s refreshing, it’s an awesome way to wake up and kick start the weekend,” Forbes said.

Forbes said feedback from all participants in the first program last year has been positive and is looking forward to what 2020 will bring.

“The program is designed for those to participate in a positive and supportive way in the sport.

“For women who are busy during week, this is a great chance to find an hour just for them, and what better place to do it than at the beach,” Forbes concluded.

The Saturday program will begin from 7.30am until 8.15am.

Registrations are now open for Term 1 2020, first sessions commence second week of February. Find your local hub & register at www.kickonforwomen.com.au

Thanks to SportAus, participants who register for the eight (8) week Term 1 2020 program, will be able to register for just $50 (discounted from $80).
