Northern NSW Football clubs have shared in $145,000 thanks to the 2019-20 Local Sport Grant Program.
The program, run by the NSW government’s Office of Sport, aims to:
- Increase regular and on-going participation in sport
- Increase participation and access for women, girls or population groups with low rates of participation
- Address barriers to participation in sport or structured physical activity
- Assist sport clubs to provide quality service to their members and meet community needs.
Projects must address at least one of these objectives and demonstrate how it aligns to the Office of Sport Strategic Plan.
There are four project types within the program including sport development, sport event, sport access, sport facility.
Northern NSW Football clubs were awarded 34 grants across the seven member zones and Premier clubs, with $144,828 allocated for a number of various projects.
