Tilligerry FC have taken huge strides in the future of their football club this month by appointing Gail Badger as their Female Participation Officer to assist with the growing female participation at the club.
Gail has been an active part of the Tilligerry community for the past 39 years – her love for the beautiful game began four (4) years ago when her two (2) daughters joined the U/14s squad and Gail volunteered to manage the side; since then she hasn’t looked back.
“I love seeing the enjoyment that the girls get when their hard work and dedication pays off”, said Badger.
Gail has taken on the role of Female Participation Officer for 2020 in hopes to provide an inclusive experience to all females throughout the club and to solidify the already positive relationships she has established within the community.
Her vision for 2020 extends to increasing female participation not only for players but for referees, coaches and volunteers alike – instituting a fun and positive culture.
Northern NSW would like to congratulate Tilligerry SC on this great initiative on expanding the women’s game at a local level.
