Northern NSW Football is pleased to announce Roz Carter as Newcastle Football’s Newcastle Permanent Volunteer of the Year for 2021.
Roz was nominated by Maryland Fletcher FC for her ongoing commitment and dedication to football.
Roz turns up every week to run the club’s canteen, the grounds and much more. She has been described as “absolutely amazing” and is considered an integral part of the club.
“Finding volunteers as enthusiastic and selfless as Roz is the goal for all sporting clubs across Australia,” NNSWF Community Football Manager Ross Hicks said.
“Her contribution has been key in the club’s sustained success and it is satisfying to be able to acknowledge the effort and hard work Roz has provided Maryland Fletcher FC over the years.”
Newcastle Permanent Chief Customer Experience and Delivery Officer Paul Juergens congratulated Roz on becoming the recipient of the Newcastle Football Newcastle Permanent Volunteer of the Year Award.
“Volunteers are the vital backbone to football. Without dedicated volunteers like Roz, community football would not happen every weekend,” Juergens said.
“We thank and congratulate Roz for her valuable contribution.”
