Northern NSW Football and Newcastle Football have congratulated Mayfield United Senior FC after the club achieved a five-star rating in the National Club Development Program.
Mayfield United Senior FC are having an outstanding season after welcoming two new women’s teams to the club. The Tigers are looking forward to the second half of the season and finals with a number of teams sitting on top of their respective competition tables.
Off the field, club president Wayne Richards is working closely with council to remove the boggy cricket pitch from Mayfield Park to create a dedicated football facility. The club is also working towards erecting some much-needed shelter and seating to create a better experience for visitors to Mayfield Park.
“There are a number of clubs throughout Australia that have used the NCDP to guide club improvement leading to success in achieving goals,” NNSWF Club Development Officer Phillip Andrews said.
“The development of governance plays a crucial role in club improvement with the NCDP being a valuable resource for guiding clubs through this process. Housing the policies became a priority for Mayfield United Senior FC leading to an overhaul of the club’s website.
“To have so many players along to the presentation meant a lot to Wayne and highlighted the positive culture being developed in the club. With the physical changes at Mayfield Park due to take place in the off-season football is in good hands at Mayfield United Senior FC.”
