Northern NSW Football is proud to announce that Merewether Advance FC has recently gained Level 1 accreditation in the Football Federation Australia (FFA) National Club Accreditation Scheme.
Merewether Advance FC’s 2019 committee was in attendance at one of the club’s pre-season training sessions to receive their certificate of recognition presented on behalf of FFA. Merewether Advance FC are proud of their achievements in 2018 including the recognition they received when announced as the Newcastle Football Club of the Year.
Gaining accreditation with the National Club Accreditation Scheme is a signal to sponsors, grant providers, club members and the community that Merewether Advance FC has developed the quality of governance essential for continued growth.
From their level 1 accreditation Merewether Advance FC can expect:
> Continued guidance from FFA and Member Federations to enhance their football delivery.
> Support for game development including coach education, volunteer development, refereeing and small-sided football.
> Attracting sponsors and volunteers.
> Increasing credibility in the community.
> Priority access to any future funding opportunities.
NNSWF Club Development Officer, Phillip Andrews said the club should be proud of their achievement.
“Level 1 NCAS Accreditation confirms the diligence of the Merewether Advance FC committee in ensuring their governance meets the expectations of Newcastle Football, Northern NSW Football and FFA,” Andrews said.
“Their community (including sponsors) can feel confident that the club is striving to replicate and further build on its’ strong on-field and off-field performances of 2018. We look forward to working with the club as they work towards achieving goals to further enhance the experience for their members,” he concluded.
