Broadmeadow Magic Youth Football Club have launched their 2021 season having achieved recognition as a five-star club in the National Club Development Program.
Northern NSW Football Club Development Officer Phillip Andrews attended a “MiniRoos muster” afternoon at Myers Park to present a certificate in recognition of their achievement.
“Broadmeadow Magic Youth FC have been diligent in developing their governance over the last few seasons,” Andrews said.
“Working through the questions within the NCDP has been an opportunity to validate their efforts and reward the hard-working committee.
“On the afternoon of my visit the club was welcoming new players and their families to the club. There was genuine excitement from the club’s committee for the youngest players who were committing to play football for the first time.
“This club is often recognised for the development of young footballers and creating opportunities for their growth but is equally adept at ensuring quality opportunities are available to grassroots footballers experiencing the game for the first time.
“We visited the club during the 2020 season and look forward to continuing a strong relationship with further visits as the 2021 season unfolds.”
The Football Australia National Club Development Program was launched nationally in September 2019 and is available to all NNSWF clubs. Twenty four northern NSW clubs have completed the program with numerous other clubs currently completing actions.
